July 20, 2009. Lord, as I embark upon this day, I ask for your mercy upon those that must relate with me, I ask reprieve from the grips of hormonal imbalance, and I ask for just one day, Lord, that puppy does not piss in my house. This, I pray, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

July 22, 2009. Lord God, Son of God: Jesus, and all the Angels unto Heaven, this I pray: as I sleep tonight please help the 8 oz of mousse erase Sandy Duncan from my hairdo, please forgive me for calling someone I love a retard, and please bless all the retarded people who are surely more deserving of good hair than I, in Jesus Name, Hear my prayer.


July 23, 2009 Our Father, Who Art in Heaven, thank you for getting me out of my hormone imbalance. Watch over me as I self-adjust my medicine. But most of all, please direct the healing power of the universe into my azaleas that the puppy killed. Also God, please take care of the baby birds I recently found out he’s been killing. Also, can you direct me to the patron saint of hair? Thanks for everything. Love, Me.

July 27, 2009 Dear Lord, today I pray that we stop hearing from Candy Spelling, because I think the woman has accomplished nothing on her own and she is using the television to create some sort of self imposed martyrdom and it makes me want to slap her and tell her that I have no room in my life for her, and Lord, I know it would be wrong to spend my last dime to travel to LA to slap her.
July 28, 2009 Dear Lord, Thank you for sending all of those people into my neighborhood today. It has been such a burden to worry about when the neighbors will cut the grass or throw out garbage. Just for one week, I know I will not be ashamed of where I live! Thank YOU!

August 1, 2009 Dear Lord, Thank you for this glorious day! Today Mister Softee came down our street twice, I had chicken souvlaki and I watched beautiful people dance to beautiful music at the Mediterranean Festival! I still pray, Lord, that one day I can dance like those women. Amen.

Dear Lord, I’m sorry I haven’t written a new prayer in so long. Today I pray in Jesus name, and all of the saints to look over my 16 year old son who is having growing pains. Allow me to overlook his hatred and anger. Allow me to smile in the face of his ranting swear words and disgust. I also ask that perhaps you could put it into his mind to do the dishes every now and then. But mostly, Lord, I thank you for keeping him alive and safe- and pray for his transformation into a stable adult. 10/17/09
